This section contains information describing how to use the Oracle Net8 Assistant to configure logging. Logging is a feature that allows you to track and save errors, service activity, and statistics as they occur on a client and/or server. This information is written to a log file. The Oracle Net8 Assistant allows you to specify the name and location to which log files will be written. Log File Directory To specify the directory to which log files will be written, enter any valid directory name in the Log Directory field in either the Client or Server Information text area.
